'The Book' Club: Women's Bible Study
Did you ever think about joining Oprah's Book Club or one like it but didn't agree with Oprah's opinions or reading selections/authors. Well have I got an idea for you? We will be discovering and exploring God through expected and unexpected reading selections in Metro's own "The Book" Club! We will be discussing current, spiritually motivated authors and take it back to the Bible as we discover together how to apply Biblical truth to our lives today. We are back in action on Thursday mornings and a new Semester has begun. We enjoy fellowship and coffee together from 9-9:30. So please plan to join us! We are really excited about growing closer through our discussion and learning to love God more each day.

Class: Hebrews
Hebrews is loaded with spiritual truth accessible to any believer looking to grasp the importance of faith. Hebrews targets believers tempted to abandon their faith and slip back into the rules and regulations of Judaism. There was a time for rules and sacrifices. Then Christ came as the perfect, spotless Lamb to atone for sin once and for all. The main message is to learn to live by faith and not by sight. God wants us to live by the permanence of the eternal and not the instability of the temporal. Topics covered will include: 1) Superiority of Christ to Moses, prophets and angels 2)The priesthood and sacrifice of Christ 3) Heroes and Hallmarks of Faith 4) Pressing on to a mature faith.

The percentage of divorce is increasing at the same rate among Christians and non-Christians alike. There is hope. despite the mounting pressure on couples, you really can have a great marriage, raise Godly kids and experience a healthy, life-giving home-life with a stability to weather life's storms. It will require hard work and focus but the reward is absolutely incredible. House or Home - Marriage Edition thoroughly explores God's design for marriage and the roles of husband and wife.

Class: Smart Step-family
Ron L. Deal, one of the nation's leading experts on Christian step-families, gives couples keys to building a healthy stepfamily. Deal's personable presentation combines instruction and encouragement that affirms both husbands and wives and their intent to build strong families. Ron explodes the myth of the "blended" family as he provides practical, realistic solutions to the issues that stepfamilies face. He helps remarried and soon-to-be married couples: 1. Recognize the unique personality of each family member. 2. Solve the everyday puzzles of step-parenting and stepchildren relationships. 3. Learn communication skills to deal with ex-spouses. 4. Honor families of origin while developing new traditions. 5. Invest the time to grow their stepfamily slowly rather than look for instant results. No two step-families are alike, and the principles, information, illustrations, discussion questions and activities in The Smart Stepfamily help couples focus on their specific situation to build healthy marriages and peaceful families.

Class: The Five Love Languages
Everyone has a love language. Of the many ways we can show love to one another, five key categories, or love languages, proved to be universal and comprehensive. The 5 love languages has helped countless couples identify practical and powerful ways to express love, simply by using the appropriate love language. Many husbands and wives who had spent years struggling through marriages they thought were loveless discovered one or both spouses had long been showing love through messages that weren't getting through. By recognizing their different love languages, they witnessed the rebirth of the love they thought had been gone for good.
